Hyatt Regency Brisbane Now Open

Hyatt has not had a hotel in Brisbane for 9 years. Well that changed as of today (February 1st) with the opening of the new Hyatt Regency Brisbane.

The Hyatt Regency Brisbane is a conversion. The 292 room hotel was formerly known as NEXT Hotel Brisbane. According to a Hyatt Press Release, “the hotel will undergo a refurbishment to enhance the guestrooms, public areas, event spaces and dining venues”.

The 292 guestrooms feature modern decor, bathrooms with walk-in showers and business-centric amenities, including comfortable workstations.

Interestingly enough, it appears that the Hyatt Regency Brisbane does not have any suites. It’ll be interesting to see if that changes following the renovation.

The Hyatt Regency Brisbane will feature amenities designed for both leisure and business travelers. Overlooking the lively Queen Street Mall, the outdoor 66-foot (20-meter) infinity-edge pool and bar on the fourth floor are ideal for unwinding after a day’s work or sightseeing. Other facilities include the 24-hour fitness center, an all-day restaurant and more than 1,000 square feet (100 square meters) of flexible function space.

The Hyatt Regency Brisbane is a World of Hyatt Category 3 property with free nights starting at 12,000 points per night.
