Points: Redeem Hyatt Points For Suites Online

Great news from World of Hyatt. It is now much easier to redeem points for free nights in suites. World of Hyatt is the only major hotel loyalty program that continues to provide a fixed award chart for suite redemptions, not only for standard suites but also for premium suites.

Here’s the World of Hyatt award chart for suite redemptions:

In the past, you’ve had to call World of Hyatt to redeem points for a suite. But now, you can easily check and book suite redemptions at all eligible properties both on the Hyatt website and on the World of Hyatt app. When you do an award search, you’ll automatically see all available options including standard rooms, standard suites (if available) and premium suites (if available).

World of Hyatt has two categories of suites, standard and premium suites. And in the past, there was no easy way to tell what kind of a premium suite could be booked with points. But with this change, that is now possible!

Take the Andaz 5th Avenue, for example, where a standard room costs 25,000 points per night, a standard suite costs 40,000 points per night and a premium suite costs 50,000 per night. For double as many points you could book a premium suite, which in this case would get you a Splash Suite.

The Splash Suite for these particular dates costs $725 a night, so at times, these redemptions can definitely represent a great value.

Our Verdict

This is yet another way that World of Hyatt is an excellent loyalty program. The ability to book standard and premium suites online and through the World of Hyatt app, makes World of Hyatt points even more valuable. And the fact that World of Hyatt is one of the only major hotel loyalty programs that continues to publish an award chart for suite redemptions sets the program apart from the competitors.

The only con is that suite bookings will likely become more prevalent now that it’s easier to book standard and premium suites with points. This could make it more challenging for globalists to use suite upgrade certificates or get suite upgrades at check-in.
